Member"My Bamix was on the way out after 35 years, I wanted a replacement to do the same job. However, the price of new bamix is out of my reach so I purchased this one and the problem was it will not process the solid type food that I require for health reasons. This unit will process liquid type foods very well although there was a tendency for particles to stick on the inside of the housing which sometimes restricted the blade to do its job. The unit was good containing any splashing , unlike the bamix the blade cannot be removed for cleaning although the drive can be detached from the motor and washed separately ."
