Starting as a costume hire business in 2009, Wonderland Costumes has now grown to be 100% retail sales while maintaining the same personal service that has always been the cornerstone of our business. Every customer & every sale is important to us. Located in Queensland, we have an awesome collection of costumes for adults & children, including many of your favourite brands, as well as accessories such as wigs, masks, hats, special effects makeup, stockings and props. We love what we do and we feel it is a privilege to help everyone dress up, whether it’s for a party, event, performance or just for fun. You really do have more fun when you dress up!

Shipping

All purchases will be shipped within 1 business day from our Australian warehouse. 

We use either Australia Post, Star Track couriers or Aramex couriers (formerly Fastway) for delivery depending on the size of the parcel & delivery address.  All Northern Territory & remote places within Australia will be sent via Australia Post. Standard delivery can take between 1-6 business days, depending on location. Some very remote destinations may be longer. Delivery delays may be experienced during peak shipping times, such as prior to Christmas.

If you require your purchase super quickly for an event, please let us know.

Please ensure that your delivery address is up to date, includes any instructions if a parcel needs to be left without a signature and includes the name of the business if the address is commercial premises.

Returns

DO YOU HAVE A REFUND OR EXHANGE POLICY IF I'M NOT HAPPY WITH MY PURCHASE?

Yes, we sure do. If you decide that you don't wish to keep your purchase, for any reason, you can return the item for a refund, provided you follow the guidelines below.  There are just a few exclusions due to hygiene reasons or if the product or packaging is damaged (see below).

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO RETURN THE PRODUCT?

You have 30 days from the day you received your product to get it in the post to us.

ARE THERE ITEMS THAT CAN'T BE RETURNED FOR A REFUND OR EXCHANGE?

Yes, just a few & only because of either hygiene reasons or because the item/packaging was damaged.

Refund or exchange is not offered for products in the following circumstances:

  • the item has been used, worn or damaged/altered by the buyer
  • the item is not in the original packaging or the packaging has been damaged in some way
  • not all of the pieces of the product are included for return

The following products are unable to be returned for a refund or exchange if the packaging has been opened:

  • stockings & tights
  • hotpants & undergarments
  • eyelashes
  • beards & mustaches
  • makeup, makeup kits or special effects makeup
  • earrings
  • teeth & prosthetics

If items are returned to us in any of the above situations, we will contact you. We hope this won't happen though. 

WHO PAYS FOR THE RETURN POSTAGE?

The buyer pays for the postage costs to return an item unless the product was faulty through no fault of the buyer. For faulty or damaged items due to manufacturing issues, we will pay for the return postage.

HOW MUCH WILL I GET REFUNDED?

If the product was faulty or damaged through no fault of the buyer, we will refund the whole purchase price, including postage. If you are returning the item for any other reasons, only the purchase price is refunded, not any original postage cost.

WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO RETURN A PRODUCT FOR A REFUND?

Please contact us to let us know the reason for wanting to return the item.  We will often suggest an alternative to help you out but if you definitely want to return the product, we will let you know the return address.  The product must be packed carefully with any original packaging to ensure there is no damage on its return trip to us.

Warranty

Please return any faulty products within 30 days. Normal Australian Consumer Law applies in all circumstances.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
