Sir John’s Gifts has been trading on Carlisle Street in Balaclava for the past 45 years and with its large, supportive and loyal local customer base it has grown into a great place to walk through, relax and enjoy a great shopping experience. Good old fashioned “Retail Therapy”.

Our “Stock & Product” business model is simple and perfect for customers. Our buyer travels around the country, and the world, looking for a mix between: new, fresh and ground-breaking products, as well as buying specials and clearance items to offer our customers the best products and the lowest prices possible.

We try our hardest to be different and a leader in the environment in which we retail in. However, we do a lot the same as other stores but just BETTER. We are known for and are so good at:

Shipping Policy

We ship Australia wide and have 48 hour dispatch policy, unless otherwise stated. If goods are unavailable, we will contact you.

48 hour dispatch refers to 2 business days. Keeping in mind it could be picked and dispatched sooner depending on our order volume. These items will be picked and packed within 48 hours (business hrs), of receipt, however, these items may not leave our warehouse for several days, as we ship and rely on transport companies. All orders once dispatched, will receive a confirmation email with a link to view current order status and delivery details.

Dependent on location delivery will be between 2-7 business days. We are unable to deliver to a P.O. Box Address or Parcel Lockers and we do not ship outside of Australia yet.

Delivery costs are calculated on location and delivery fees can be calculated on cart page.

Returns & Refund Policy

You can return your item to us in its original packaging within 14 days of when it was delivered to you for a refund. We will refund the cost of the item(s), but you will need to pay for the cost of return shipping. Please contact us first to confirm and arrange.

In the unlikely event that your order arrives damaged, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Please provide the following information:

-your name, number, invoice/order number and any other proof of purchase; and

-detailed description of item and problem;

-photographic evidence of the defect or damage, where applicable;

-any other details we may need to proceed further.

-A team member will respond as soon as possible.

Once your order is received back to our store, a qualified team member will verify the condition of your returned item and once approved your account will be credited within five to ten working days, depending on your payment method.

This refund policy does not apply to goods which have been used, damaged after delivery, not signed for on receiving the item, if any attempt has been made to alter the product or if they have been dropped or broken. All products must be returned in their original condition.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
