Overview

Fast and soothing haemorrhoid relief ointment.

Proctosedyl Ointment’s triple action provides relief of haemorrhoids and fissures (tears)
1. Pain relief using local anaesthetic.
2. Reduces inflammation and swelling.
3. Relieves itching.

Hydrocortisone 5mg/g, cinchocaine hydrochloride 5mg/g.

Store below 25oc

Do not use:
- If seal under the lid is missing or broken
- If you have tuberculosis
- If you are allergic to the ointment or its active ingredients
- For longer than 7 days unless advised by a doctor
- For children 12 years of age and under
- When infections affecting the rectal area are present; e.g. STD’s such as herpes
- In contact with latex rubber condoms.
Tell your doctor or pharmacist:
- If you are pregnant or breastfeeding
- If you are taking other medicines
- If you have or had any medical conditions, especially cuts or abrasions in the area of the anus, fungal infections such as thrush, severe or prolonged pain, or if blood is present in the faeces
- If you experience increased discomfort or rash around the anus area
- If you plan to have surgery under general anaesthetic.
If symptoms persist see your doctor.
If you think you have used too much of this product, immediately telephone your doctor, or the Poisons Information Centre (Australia: 13 11 26 or New Zealand: 0800 764 766), or go to Accident and Emergency at your nearest hospital.

Always read the label and follow the directions for use. Do not use for children 12 years of age and under. Do not use for more than 7 days unless a doctor has told you to. If skin irritation occurs, discontinue use and seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist.
