The AISI 430 grade magnetic stainless steel base plate that makes the pan work well on both Gas and Induction. Hawkins Stainless Steel Cookware also comes with a toughened Glass Lid made of 4 mm thick, heat-resistant glass with a strong stainless steel rim and stay-cool knob.
