he Kamov Ka-27 Helix is a Soviet shipborne anti-submarine and utility helicopter. It is manned by a flight crew of two or three and a mission crew of three and can carry 4000 kg of freight or passengers in the hold, and 5000 kg of freight carried as a slung load. Two Klimov TV3-117V turboshafts provide a top speed of 250 kmh and a range of 800 km. Upto 2000 kg of disposable stores can be carried in a lower-fuselage weapon bay, and generally comprise two torpedoes or depth charges.:
