Maltofer Oral Iron 100mg 100 Tablets

Maltofer Iron Tablets are used for the treatment and prevention of iron deficiency in both adolescents and adults where the use of ferrous iron supplements is not tolerated, or can’t be used. Maltofer Tablets are clinically proven to correct low iron levels. Maltofer has less constipation and less gastrointestinal side effects compared to ferrous sulfate iron. Maltofer Iron Tablets contain 100 mg of iron as 370 mg iron polymaltose. Maltofer Tablets provide a therapeutic dose of iron and should be used when ferrous iron supplements are not tolerated, or are otherwise inappropriate.

How to Use

Maltofer Iron Tablets contain 100 mg of elemental iron as 370 mg iron polymaltose.
Tablets should not be divided into lower doses than 100 mg iron.
If lower doses are required, Maltofer Iron Syrup should be used.

For treatment of iron deficiency in adults and adolescents (12 years and older):
Take 1 – 2 tablets (100 – 200 mg iron) daily, preferably with food.

For prevention of iron deficiency in high – risk adults and adolescents (12 years and older):
Take 1 tablet (100 mg iron) daily, preferably with food.

Always take Maltofer Iron Tablets exactly as your medical practitioner or pharmacist has instructed.

Ingredients

Actives:
100mg elemental iron as 370mg iron polymaltose.

Inactive:
Crospovidone, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hypromellose, iron oxide red, iron oxide yellow, macrogol 6000, magnesium stearate, cellulose – microcrystalline and titanium dioxide.
