Michele De Lucchi

Michele De Lucchi (1951 - )

Italian designer Michele De Lucchi gained his diploma in architecture from Florence University in 1975, and since then has made countless contributions to the world of design. He began working for Kartell in 1978, and in the 1980s was an integral member of the design group Memphis, during which time he produced a number of unusual yet ground-breaking pieces. In 1987, De Lucchi found fame in his design of the Tolomeo lamp, which he produced for Artemide with Giancarlo Fassina. Michele De Lucchi continues to work out of his Italian design studio and collaborate with large firms such as Olivetti.
