Eero Aarnio (1932 - )

Born in Finland in 1932, Eero Aarnio studied at the Institute of Industrial Arts in Helsinki before starting up his own design office in 1962. His most famous design, the Ball Chair, was first created in 1963. Renowned for his creative use of plastic material, his designs still enjoy popularity today, and have been lauded as some of the most revolutionary of the 20th century.
